To Our Community Across the State of Hawai‘i:
ALU LIKE, Inc. is committed to a healthy service environment. As the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to impact the daily lives of our communities, ALU LIKE has taken steps to protect our participants and employees.
We are closely monitoring and following the Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and our local Department of Health (DOH) for guidance on how we can contribute to the health and safety of our community. We are also:
- Encouraging the washing of hands to prevent the spread of COVID-19;
- Promoting the disinfecting of surfaces including door handles;
- Asking staff who feel ill or have a fever to remain home;
- Implementing a Pandemic Leave Policy;
- Canceling all business travel outside the State of Hawai‘i with limited inter-island travel for business necessity;
- Requiring a 14-day self-quarantine after personal trips to high-risk virus areas; and
- Canceling all events, meetings, and training for groups of 10 or more individuals.
To do our part to stop a community spread of COVID-19, ALU LIKE, Inc. will implement our remote service protocol on March 23, 2020. Our services will still be available with staff providing our services via the telephone, email, or the web.
We will continue to proactively monitor the CDC, WHO, and DOH so we can swiftly address the changing impact of COVID-19 on our Hawai‘i nei. You can call us at (808) 535-6700, visit us on our website at www.alulike.org, or our Facebook page for information on how to access our services.
Let us continue to work together to keep our ‘Ohana safe,
Mervina Cash-Kaeo
